NCAA.com says the Division I championship is a 64-team tournament. For 2026, 29 conferences received an automatic berth and 35 clubs were selected at large.
The 64 clubs are split into 16 regionals of four. Each regional is double elimination, so a club is out after two losses. The 16 winners move to eight super regionals, each a best-of-three series.
